The present invention relates to a surgical implant for promoting the attachment of soft tissue to bone in a patient. This invention describes different methods of delivering this surgical implant into the interface between the bone and the repaired tendon to promote the healing process

Tendons are a fibrous connective tissue which are integral part of the musculoskeletal system. Tendons attach muscle to bone via a specialized fibrocartilaginous tissue, referred to as the enthesis. In the practice of orthopaedics, often there is a need to surgically repair the attachment between tendons and bone, via the recreation of enthesis, if a patient’s tendon has sustained physical injury or trauma of some sort.
